Pretty sweet if you ask me, though there are a few limitations. Stuff like you have to use the service regularly and they reserve the right to limit the length of the call; however, what caught my eye was that I could have a phone number for $35 a month for unlimited call in. Not super useful by itself; however, if you are running a business where people call in and want to leave a message or something like that, it’s a perfect solution. Plus it’s also a good idea to help keep my personal number off of all this cruft I have to send in to make a business actually functional/legal.

It also gives me a geek out as well :-) . Since my Nokia e60 is a SIP phone, I should be able to use it with my Gizmo account … should. Apparently, there is a NAT issue with the e-series that makes things a little difficult and I’ve not been able to get mine to connect yet; however, it’s only a matter of time before I resolve that issue. In the mean time, I’ve collected the best source of Nokia-SIP connection information off of some site that tries to print ever time I go to it. I’ve put it in my Google Notebook here for anyone else that might find it useful. When I get mine working, I’ll put up a step-by-step.

When Google Notebook first came out, one of the biggest flaws was that searching for something in would only tell you what notebook it was in, not take you too it in your notebook … something that’s a PITA for those of use with more than a screen full of entries. It now provides the notebook as well as the item you searched for. I still think that they should move away from the seperate notebooks and go with the “Labels” system like Gmail has for what notebook something is in as well as which items are public.

In any group, there is almost inevitably one very bad, very stupid inside joke. For one of my friends, I think it was “Bouncy-Bouncy” and another one it was the word “pineapples” (I could be completely wrong on that one). For more examples of context-less inside jokes, check out my quote page. Back on track … “The Aristocrats” is one of these very bad, very stupid things. You can find a lot more information on wikipedia than I will divulge here; however, you probably won’t find my rendition of the joke or my take on the documentary about the joke. The wiki article will also leave out how the documentary had so much potential to be funny, but sucked royally.

[adult swim] has decided to star running old episodes of Pee-wee’s Playhouse. My dear God in heaven, that show is fscked up beyond all belief. I’m thoroughly impressed that someone hasn’t used watching that show as an excuse for drinking goat blood while clubbing baby seals or something just as peculiar.

I really am trying to come up with more to write about this … but my mind is still in shock from seeing it on TV last night. The only thing I can come up with is that if dancing clay food in your refrigerator having a “foam-whip-cream” party isn’t entertaining to you, you’ve been deadened to the world.

Maybe I’m just a freak and have a really sensitive nose … then again maybe I’m just a freak. Moving along though, I cannot stand stinky people. Not just the people who put way too much “Ode to Ratspit” on, but also those fine people who leave a plume of toxicity in their wake (a much larger group than you might think).
